“To so many people adulting goals feel far out of reach so they don’t know where to start. But with the right supports you’ll realize those goals are actually within arms length.”
Founded by JoAnna Datz
JoAnna Datz is a fearlessly compassionate public servant in the private sector. My Third Hand is the culmination of everything she has learned in life—an intersection of her experiences in private equity, caregiving, education, and entrepreneurship—and an unwavering desire to drive positive change.
At its core, My Third Hand is a talent development and learning platform that reimagines the way modern adults acquire essential skills for living—skills traditionally taught at home, not at school—so they can move through the world with confidence and stability.
My Third Hand’s Mission
Our mission is to help people learn how to adult with confidence by teaching them how to measure and manage the demands on their time, money, and attention.
We use adaptive tools that meet people where they, then work to modernize their relationship with rest, work, play, and care. Our playful-skill building exercises meet at the intersection of three major human needs of:
A quality education in modern home economics
A labor force prepared for the future of work
A support system for post-traumatic growth
Designed for Modern Adults
Modern Adulting is built on the belief that adults of the modern world think differently about learning. They don’t just need information, they need systems, frameworks, and tools that make learning accessible and meaningful.
As the demands of modern life evolve, many essential life skills are no longer passed down in a consistent way—leaving a critical gap in how people prepare for and manage adulthood.
MY! Modern Adulting Network
We’re not a school. We’re not an agency. We’re a new kind of in-between where living, learning, and belonging meet. MY! Modern Adulting Network is a privately run, community-powered network helping modern adults build the skills, relationships, and confidence real life adulthood expects.
We’re leveling the playing field for learners of all abilities by breaking down complex skills into structured, accessible frameworks that are so simple anyone can learn them, and anyone can teach them.
